BDAS

We are Özge and Alina from the Aachen ‘BDAS’, and for us, this is much more than just a ‘congregation’.

Our story began quite early on. We met as children in Alevi classes, saw each other every week and grew up together within this community. Over time, these meetings fostered not only a sense of belonging to the community, but also a close friendship.

As female students in particular, we know how important it is to have a place where you feel at home – especially when you’re new to a city like Aachen. The ‘BDAS’ is exactly that for us: a little piece of home. A place where you not only meet new people, but also feel understood.

For us, being Alevi means community, respect, openness and togetherness. We try to live by these values here too. No matter where you come from or how long you’ve been with us – what matters to us is that you’re here.

As well as spending time together, there’s plenty to get stuck into: tutoring sessions, Saz lessons and, in the past, Semah and folklore. At the same time, we want to break new ground: more events, more interaction and, without a doubt, more group trips that we’ll all remember for years to come.

The ‘BDAS’ thrives on the people who shape it.

So: Bring your ideas, your interests and your energy. We’re open to new ideas and look forward to building something together.

And above all, we’re looking forward to seeing you – to new faces, new friendships and lots of lovely moments together.

You’ll find us at 63 Jülicher Straße in Aachen. Do pop in! 🤍
