BDAJ

The Federation of Alevi Youth in Germany (BDAJ) e.V. is the umbrella organisation for the Federation of Alevi Students (BDAS). As an independent youth organisation of the Alevi Community in Germany, it represents the interests of around 78,000 young Alevis in Germany across 130 member associations and eleven federal states.

As an Alevi-democratic youth organisation, the ‘BDAJ’ is particularly active in the areas of advocacy, extracurricular education and democratic participation. Its work is guided by the humanist values of Alevism, in particular equality, solidarity, education and social responsibility.

The ‘BDAS’ complements the work of the ‘BDAJ’ at university level and brings the perspectives and challenges faced by Alevi students into higher education policy and wider social discourse. Through close cooperation and regular dialogue with the ‘BDAJ’, shared objectives and projects are coordinated and implemented.
